We Wear The Mask by Paul Laurence Dunbar
0 comments
We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.
Why should the world be overwise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.
We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.
Why should the world be overwise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.
We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!

Chick-fil-A

Last week I went to Chick-fil-A with my mom and while we were waiting to cross the street she saw theese two men passing out what we found to be gospel tracts. The cool thing was there was a policeman near us but he didn't go out and stop them. Great example of the favor of God :)

Heaven 101

Heaven – the abode of God, the angels and the spirits of the righteous after death. It’s a wonderful place where God is and a spiritual state of everlasting communion with God. Now that you know what heaven is, don’t you want to know some of the benefits? Of course you do, so here are some of them. You get to live forever with god in heaven instead of going to hell. Who would want to go their right? You can spend your time worshipping God and being in his presence. There will be no more pain or sorrow, and no death. Won’t that be great? Plus, you will get to talk to all the famous people of the Bible like Esther, Ruth, David, Moses, etc. Since you’ve heard all this great stuff about heaven, I bet you are wondering how to get there. Well, all you have to do is accept Jesus into your heart ad admit you’re a sinner in need of his forgiveness. Some people think you can get to heaven just by dig good deeds like helping the poor, being nice to enemies, etc. But that’s not true. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have bee saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” We al have sinned “For all have sinned and come short of he glory of God”. (Romans 3:23) And sin separates us from God, which is why we will not be able to enter into heaven without Jesus. It says in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” So accept Jesus today so you can experience the wonderful benefits.

Ur Life

Why care about what people say in this world? This isn't even the real life we're supposed to be living. It's in heaven with God. That's our real life. So don't let anyone's word harm you.

What Family Radio said about the May 21 thing
0 comments
So I was listening to Family Radio today (don't ask why) and someone was talking about the May 21 thing. In case you didn't know Family Radio is Harold Camping's company. He's the man who started this whole May 21 is Judgement Day crap. So I was listening to the person on the radio and he was saying that he knows we feel disappointed that Jesus didn't come back on Saturday. I'm not.
I KNEW he wasn't going to come back because of what it says in Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." I Know a lot of people who agree with me. So then the person starts makingexcuses for why the Rapture didn't happen by saying God's timing is not the same as our timing and some other things. If you knew this why would you believe that you know when Jesus was coming back when Jesus HIMSELF doesn't know. Only God the Father.
So basically you're calling God a lier which is blasphemy. Camping is such a coward. He didn't even go on the air and say this himself he had to get someone else to do it. The Bible talks about people like him in Matthew 7:15. It says "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.". So there you have it. That's my take.
UPDATE: Camping finally made a statment saying that he made a mistake and that Jesus is going to come back 5 months from now on October 21, 2011. I can't take this anymore...
